I have thought through the question of how to hang your tile or plaque in several situations. My goal at Cattail Tile is for you to be able to purchase your work of art and not have to worry about how it is going to be hung. Read below for some different options that can easily be applied to your tile or plaque. All options allow for complete weather proof installation of your piece. Clay Lug Hanging option (upgrade): Two examples are below
Border Lugs- used on address plaques Add-On Lugs- another application for thinner plaques/tile art. Clay lugs may be a good choice if you need to relocate or rehang your plaque in the future. Stainless steel screws and rubber washers are included. Screw covers get glued on with provided silicone caulk. This is another very secure option. This option is more permanent since the silicon calk is very strong, and you could damage the screw covers trying to pry it off later. However, you could use a more temporary caulk, such as DAP Seal and Peal (not provided) .
